Job summary

Zoe in Redhill is seeking an experienced Housing Support Officer to join our charity’s Housing team. You will provide housing support for residents, helping them move towards independent living in the community and ensuring tenancy terms and safety protocols are understood.

The role requires knowledge of supported housing, safeguarding, and working with young people. A full driving licence with business use insurance is essential, and you may occasionally work weekends/evenings.

Qualifications

• Essential knowledge includes NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in housing, social work or youth work.
• Knowledge of supported housing provision and/or youth work services.
• Understanding of the needs of young people and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-2-1 and group support to residents and perform housing duties.
• Induct residents into accommodation; explain tenancy terms and safety issues.
• Adhere to Resident Journey policy and guidance for Housing staff.
• Work in lone-working scenarios and follow lone-working policy.
• Provide trauma-informed support and participate in restorative practice.
• Support residents in funded and non-funded beds, including asylum seekers; assist in resettlement.
