Job summary

Morgan Hunt is seeking a compassionate Housing Support Assistant for our team in Slough. You will provide practical and emotional support to residents, helping them sustain tenancies and develop independent living skills, including budgeting and daily routines, while promoting wellbeing.

  • Previous experience in housing support, homelessness services, or social care is desirable.
  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults or individuals with complex needs would be advantageous.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one, where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred housing-related support to individuals with a range of needs.
  • Assist residents with independent living skills, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and household tasks.
  • Support residents to access healthcare, benefits, employment, education, and community services.
  • Help residents maintain accommodation and comply with tenancy agreements.
  • Complete and maintain accurate support plans, case notes, and records.
  • Carry out welfare checks and respond to residents' needs and concerns.
  • Support residents in developing independence and confidence.
  • Work with housing providers, local authorities, and partner agencies.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion in all work.
  • Identify and report safeguarding concerns per policies.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and welfare concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment for residents.

Pay: Approximately £14.24 per hour
Job Type: Full-time - Night Shifts
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Housing Support Assistant to join our team in Slough. This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals in maintaining stable accommodation, developing independent living skills, and improving their overall wellbeing.
As a Housing Support Assistant, you will provide practical and emotional support to residents, helping them sustain their tenancies and work towards greater independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred housing-related support to individuals with a range of needs.
  • Assist residents with developing independent living skills, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and managing household responsibilities.
  • Support residents to access healthcare, benefits, employment, education, and community services.
  • Help residents maintain their accommodation and comply with tenancy agreements.
  • Complete and maintain accurate support plans, case notes, and other relevant records.
  • Carry out regular welfare checks and respond appropriately to residents' needs and concerns.
  • Support residents in developing the skills and confidence needed to live independently.
  • Work closely with housing providers, local authorities, and partner agencies.
  • Promote safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work.
  • Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and welfare concerns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in housing support, homelessness services, social care, or a similar support role is desirable.
