Job summary

Recruitment Opportunities is seeking a Housing Standards Officer to help create safer, higher-quality homes across the Borough. You’ll inspect homes and HMOs, investigate concerns and take enforcement action where needed, working with landlords, homeowners and partner agencies.

You’ll represent the Council at Tribunals and Court proceedings, mentor colleagues and contribute to projects that improve housing standards and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of property inspections and housing legislation.
• Understanding of HHSRS and enforcement processes.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, landlords and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Inspect homes and HMOs to ensure housing standards are met.
