Job summary

Gloucester City Council is seeking a Housing Team Leader to lead frontline homelessness services within a dynamic Housing Services Team. The role focuses on Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996, with operational responsibility for homelessness assessments, prevention and relief work, and complex statutory decision making.

You will manage staff, provide coaching, and maintain service quality, governance and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• You will have proven experience of managing staff in a frontline statutory service, be able to lead and inspire the Housing Service and coach and support team members to grow in confidence, resilience, and skill.
• You will have confidence handling complex, high-risk casework and performance issues, the ability to lead calmly and decisively under pressure as well as have excellent communication, judgement and organisational skills.
