We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Team Leader to join our Housing Services Team, focusing on Part 7 of the Housing Act to lead frontline delivery of statutory homelessness services within a fast-paced and challenging operational environment that is passionate about delivering person centred, trauma informed support.
You will have operational responsibility for leading officers undertaking homelessness assessments, prevention and relief work, and complex statutory decision making under Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996.
This is a pivotel role, requiring confident leadership, sound legal understanding, and the ability to balance competing demands while maintaining service quality, governance and staff wellbeing.
You will be an experienced housing professional with strong knowledge of homelessness legislation and statutory processes.
You need to have proven experience of managing staff in a frontline statutory service, be able to lead and inspire the Housing Service and coach and support team members to grow in confidence, resilience, and skill.
You will have confidence handling complex, high-risk casework and performance issues, the ability to lead calmly and decisively under pressue as well as have excellent communication, judgement and organisational skills
