Job summary

Tandridge District Council in Oxted, Surrey, is seeking a Landlord Services Manager to provide operational direction across tenancy management, income collection, ASB and sheltered housing. You will lead the Landlord Services, set priorities, and work with the Housing Leadership Team, tenants, councillors and partners to drive improvements and ensure value-for-money services.

Qualifications

• Significant and recent housing management experience at management level, including leading and managing staff.
• A strong track record of improving housing services, managing performance and budgets, and delivering high service standards.
• Experience of working successfully with tenants, tenants’ groups, councillors, external agencies and partners, including handling nuisance and harassment cases through multi-agency working.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop policy, procedures and practical service improvements.
• A collaborative and flexible leadership style, together with a clear commitment to excellent customer service, equality and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Landlord Services, setting clear priorities and delivering effective, responsive and value-for-money services.
• As a member of the Housing Leadership Team, work closely with the Head of Housing, councillors, colleagues, tenants, leaseholders and partner organisations.
• Lead and motivate managers and their teams, drive continuous improvement, oversee performance and budgets, and ensure customers can influence and scrutinise the services that affect them.
