Job summary

Neath Port Talbot Council is seeking a committed Support and Resettlement Assistant to join the Emergency Accommodation Support Team. The role involves providing practical housing and tenancy support to households in interim accommodation, ensuring safety and a positive living environment.

Regular travel across the borough and beyond is required. The successful candidate will have tenancy support or social care experience, basic IT skills, and at least 4 GCSEs (A-C).

Qualifications

• Experience of working in tenancy support, advice service or social care is preferred.
• Good IT skills are required.
• A minimum of 4 GCSEs (A-C) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical housing and tenancy related support to individuals and households in interim accommodation.
• Ensure a safe living environment in accommodation provided.
• Travel across the Borough of Neath Port Talbot and beyond to other Local Authority areas.
• Work as part of a frontline/community-based team with regular supervision and team support.
