Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced Repairs Officer to join the Housing Repairs and Compliance team. You will manage responsive repairs, voids and planned maintenance to high standards while ensuring compliance with Awaab's Law, the Decent Homes Standard and fire safety requirements.

You will work with a focus on disrepair casework, tenant safety, and safeguarding, liaising with contractors and internal teams to deliver efficient, resident-centered services.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in repairs, disrepair, voids or related housing roles.
• Strong knowledge of Decent Homes, Awaab's Law, damp and mould regulations and fire safety.
• Experience managing disrepair cases or complaints/claims.
• Proficient with housing management systems (Orchard, Genero, SDM, NEC, Northgate).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of responsive repairs, voids and planned maintenance to timescales and quality.
• Handle disrepair cases and complaint/claim management per regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Awaab's Law, Decent Homes and fire safety standards.
• Conduct inspections, void checks and diagnostics to identify works.
• Coordinate with contractors, surveyors and internal teams to deliver high-quality repairs.
• Maintain accurate housing records in systems (Orchard/NEC/Northgate or similar).
• Collaborate with tenancy, neighbourhood and estate teams to resolve safety issues.
• Support safeguarding and respond to vulnerable residents' needs.
