Job summary

Onward Repairs in Accrington is seeking a Housing Repairs Co-ordinator for a full-time, permanent role. You will schedule maintenance, liaise with tenants and contractors, and track repair progress using Asset Management systems.

A strong emphasis on customer service, organisation and prioritisation is essential, with hybrid working pattern. The role is office-based in Accrington four days a week with one day at home, transitioning to full-time in-office by January 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Data entry and administration across Asset Management systems.

  • Provide admin support to the repairs team and manage meeting logistics.
  • Ensure contracts and budgets checks on awarded work orders.

Job description

This Housing Repairs Co ordinator role with Onward in Accrington offers a full time, permanent contract at £29,400 annually, equivalent to £15.28 hourly. The successful candidate will schedule maintenance work, liaise with tenants and contractors, and track repair progress using relevant systems. Strong communication, organisation and customer service abilities are essential, alongside the capacity to manage competing priorities calmly. Key Responsibilities
  • Data entry and Administration
  • Enter data into Onwards Asset Management systems ensuring good standards of data quality.
  • Complete, issue and administer electronic contract set up and standard contract documentation for various projects.
  • Raise works orders and update project details on the Asset Management systems.
  • Pursue and monitor progress on individual projects and repair jobs and voids to ensure the Asset Management systems are updated and that contractor payments are made efficiently.
  • Extract standard reports and produce ad-hoc reports as required.
  • Provide support and advice to others in the team as an advanced user of the Asset Management systems.
  • Administer the repairs pre/post inspection process for the region from receipt of Inspections due through to entering results into Onwards repairs system.
  • Be the primary source of administration support to the repairs team, including contractor meeting minute taking, organising meetings, photocopying etc.
  • Contracts and Budgets Check that all contractors being awarded work orders are accredited, including assistance in relation to the new supply contractor process, and waiver form process.
  • The responsibility of the role is to provide technical and general administration support to the Housing Repairs Team. This role is currently based in our Accrington office four days per week, with home working on Tuesdays. Please note that this arrangement is expected to transition to full-time office-based working by the end of January 2027.
