Job summary

Ashford Borough Council is seeking a Housing Options Trainee to join our Housing Options team. You will provide administrative, telephone and front-line support to Housing Options Officers, helping residents receive clear, timely, high-quality advice.

You will be the first point of contact for customers, assist with enquiries, and work as part of a busy team while studying for the Level 3 Housing & Property Management Apprenticeship with full support to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative role involving contact with the public.
• Excellent customer service and commitment to high-quality service delivery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage workload in a pressured environment.
• Confidence to take ownership of actions and respond appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, telephone and front-line support to Housing Options Officers.
• Respond to a wide range of housing enquiries and advise residents.
• Support Housing Options Officers with administrative tasks and casework.
• Contribute to delivering a customer-focused service and positive outcomes.
