Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Housing Options Team Leader, on a 6-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £22.85 - £30.29 per Hour

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the HOST Complex Casework team.
  • Guide staff in applying housing legislation, statutory duties, and best practices.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external partners to deliver seamless customer journeys.
  • Assist with recruitment, staff development, and HR procedures.
  • Handle complex cases and prepare reports, including briefing legal representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification relevant to the role.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.

Experience Required:

  • Experience working in housing, social care, or homelessness services.
  • Experience managing or supervising a team in a customer-focused environment.
  • Proven ability to apply policies, procedures, and legislation fairly and consistently.
  • Experience dealing with complex and sensitive cases.
