Job summary

Wrexham County Borough Council is seeking a Housing Options Assistant on a temporary basis until 31 March 2027. You will support the Housing Options Team with the day-to-day functions, handle enquiries from service users and landlords, and assist with temporary accommodation stock management and allocation to applicants.

Reporting to the Housing Options Team Leader, you will contribute to delivering services in line with corporate strategies and participate in related projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service skills and clear communication abilities.
  • Proficient IT skills and ability to handle enquiries from users and landlords.

Job description

Temporary until 31/03/2027

As the Housing Options Assistant you will be assisting the Housing options Team in all aspects of the day to day functions. You will be responsible for handling enquires from service users and landlords alike. You will possess good IT skills and excellent customer service.

You will be required to assist with the management of the Council’s stock of temporary accommodation in order to maximise revenue for the team and to assist with the allocation of temporary accommodation to homeless applicants.

You will report directly to the Housing Options Team Leader and be required to support the Team Leader in delivering the services / projects in line with key corporate strategies.
