Responsibilities

• To fully assess applications to the Council’s Housing Register and determine eligibility for priority and communicate outcomes.
• Offer advice on housing options including the registration process, applying for a home, and other options such as downsizing, direct exchanges and private renting.
• Establish and maintain links with the Council, partners and agencies to ensure access to rehousing advice and support.
• Carry out periodic reviews of priority cases to confirm or adjust priority status and take appropriate action.
• Work with colleagues to ensure swift discharge of the Council’s duty to accommodate and prevent homelessness.
