Job summary

Melton Borough Council is seeking a motivated Housing Officer to support residents in sustaining tenancies, resolving issues, and improving neighbourhoods. You will work directly with residents, colleagues and partner agencies to provide advice, carry out home visits and estate inspections, and promote community engagement.

The role offers flexible, hybrid working, up to 37 hours per week, and a focus on delivering excellent customer service within a supportive council environment.

What you'll be doing

As a Housing Officer, you'll manage a patch of council homes and work closely with residents, colleagues and partner agencies to:

• Support tenants to maintain successful tenancies.
• Help resolve neighbourhood issues and anti-social behaviour.
• Carry out home visits and estate inspections.
• Provide advice and guidance to residents.
• Work with partner organisations to support vulnerable households.
• Encourage resident involvement and community engagement.
• Ensure our housing services are responsive, fair and customer focused.
