Kisharon Langdon UK has an exciting opportunity for a Housing Officer to join the growing team in Colindale, London.

The Role

The Housing Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of housing, facilities, and tenancy management concerning properties within supported living services in London. The Head of Estates & Facilities Management, based in London, will oversee all housing-related matters.

The role includes providing frontline service to members, managing tenancies and leases, conducting property inspections, tenancy verification checks, and community management. The focus is to ensure high standards of service delivery, meet performance targets, and foster excellent relationships with stakeholders.

The post holder will be accountable for property management services across the London portfolio and contribute to growth opportunities, which requires the ability to drive.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with individuals with learning disabilities, the registered manager, social work team, families, landlords, and stakeholders to ensure appropriate assessment and transition into supported living.
  2. Provide support and advice on housing options, rights, and entitlements related to social welfare to secure safe and sustainable accommodation.
  3. Manage all London housing projects, ensuring requirements are met and tasks are completed timely.
  4. Build and maintain a high profile for the organization through networking and liaison, promoting best practices and legislative compliance.
  5. Support outcome targets by maintaining high-quality assessments and meeting KPIs such as voids, arrears, and standards.
  6. Handle housing complaints resolution with support from the Head of Housing & Facilities Management when necessary.
About You
  • Experience in supported or social housing, asset-based approach preferred.
  • Knowledge of housing options, welfare entitlements, and legal rights.
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience in small-scale project management.
  • Full UK Driving license and ability to travel.
  • Strong planning and prioritization skills for managing workload independently.
  • Ability to work across services and manage conflicting priorities.
