Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy housing team on a 3-month temporary contract. You will manage a portfolio of around 615 properties, delivering a high-quality service to residents across lettings, tenancy management, rent arrears, estate inspections and anti-social behaviour cases.

This role requires independence, strong communication, and the ability to build relationships with residents, contractors and partner agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Housing Officer with strong housing management knowledge.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience using housing management systems and CRM databases.
• Organised, proactive and confident dealing with residents and contractors.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenancies, tenancy audits and resident enquiries.
• Handle lettings, voids, sign-ups and end-of-tenancy processes.
• Monitor rent arrears and take action to reduce rent loss.
• Manage anti-social behaviour cases from start to finish.
• Carry out estate inspections and ensure health and safety standards are maintained.
• Promote resident engagement and community involvement.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and housing management system updates.
• Build positive relationships with residents, contractors and local authority partners.

Housing Officer

Pay: £19.71 PAYE or £28.51 Umbrella per hour
Contract: Temporary, 3 months
Location: Dartford, Gravesend & Maidstone
Reporting to: Housing & Estates Manager

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy housing team on a 3-month temporary contract.
