Recognised as a leading practice in the sector, the team is known for its deep understanding of the challenges facing social housing providers and for delivering practical, commercially focused advice on complex housing management issues.

The successful candidate will work closely with Sian Evans, a Band 1 ranked Housing Management lawyer

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management and anti-social behaviour matters.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload and deliver advocacy in court.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for social landlords.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of predominantly housing management and anti-social behaviour matters.
• Represent housing associations, registered providers and other residential landlords on a wide range of contentious housing issues.
• Handle matters including possession proceedings, injunctions, anti-social behaviour, tenancy enforcement, access injunctions, disrepair claims and rent recovery.
• Provide advocacy where appropriate.
• Assist other case handlers with their caseloads.
• Support and develop more junior members of the team.
• Assist with business development and profile-raising initiatives, including networking events and client relationship activities.
• Complete MI procedures as required.
• Achieve set targets/KPIs.
• Ensure relevant deadlines, compliance and quality measures are adhered to.
• Comply with relevant Weightmans and client policies and procedures.
• Work in accordance with Weightmans' values.
