Job summary

Porchlight is hiring a Housing Management professional to ensure homes for residents are safe, welcoming and well maintained.

You will perform regular property checks, manage void cleans, and help keep communal areas tidy while ensuring tenancy agreements are up-to-date and understood by residents.

This is an on-site, permanent role requiring a full driving licence and commitment to safeguarding residents and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build constructive relationships with residents and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and accuracy in record keeping.
• A full driving licence and access to a car (where applicable).
• A good understanding of Housing Management duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular checks of Porchlight properties to ensure safety and maintenance.

Job description

You will ensure that Porchlight properties are places that people who have been homeless can call home. Our residents (all aged 18+) are better equipped to start the recovery process if they have somewhere safe and welcoming to do so.

You will carry out regular checks of our properties, making sure they are maintained to a good standard and that both health & safety and fire regulations are adhered to. You will also undertake void cleans and support the cleaning and upkeep of communal areas, helping to maintain safe, clean and welcoming environments for residents.

The role is also about ensuring residents’ tenancy and licence agreements are up-to-date and making sure they understand their own responsibilities.

This role requires:

• Good communication and people skills
• The ability to build constructive relationships
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to record information accurately
• A full driving licence and access to a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Equality Act 2010).
• A good understanding of Housing Management duties.
