Job summary

Porchlight is seeking a reliable cleaner to help maintain welcoming, hygienic environments across our supported housing and offices in East Malling. The role involves routine cleaning in communal areas, void properties, and office spaces, contributing to safe, dignified environments for residents, staff and visitors.

You will work 22.5 hours across Monday, Wednesday and Friday on-site with a permanent contract.

Job description

Porchlight provides safe and supportive accommodation to people experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, or other vulnerabilities. We're looking for a reliable, professional cleaner to help us maintain welcoming, hygienic, and safe environments across our supported housing and office locations.

This role involves a mix of routine and ad hoc cleaning tasks in communal areas, void properties, and office spaces. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our homes and workplaces are clean, comfortable, and dignified for residents, staff, and visitors.

The role requires:

• Someone dependable, practical, and empathetic.
• Confidence working alone.
• Understanding of the importance of cleanliness and infection control.
• Being comfortable engaging professionally with vulnerable residents.
• Driver with own transport.
