Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting a Housing Interventions Worker to support men on probation or in custody in Cardiff. The role focuses on reducing homelessness and reoffending by delivering targeted housing advice and intervention plans.

Occasional travel to other prisons is required. The position offers full-time hours with a benefits package including pension, cycle to work, season ticket loan, and generous annual leave.

Qualifications

• Understanding of Housing and Welfare Benefits system.
• Experience advising clients on welfare benefits, housing, or rehousing.
• Experience assessing adults for housing and social support needs.
• Ability to develop detailed support plans to sustain tenancies.
• Knowledge of challenges faced by individuals in recovery or homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one housing advice and interventions for men on probation or in custody.
• Conduct housing needs assessments and develop intervention plans.
• Engage with Camau service objectives to prevent homelessness and improve options.
• Contribute to team objectives and service delivery.
• Build relationships with local authorities, landlords, and support agencies.
• Support service users by working with Forward Connect and other services.
