Job summary

Forward Trust is seeking Bank Housing Interventions Workers to provide practical, person-centred housing interventions for people in custody and on probation across South Wales and Gwent. You will assess housing needs, identify barriers and help develop plans to secure and sustain accommodation.

The role offers flexible bank hours across multiple establishments, with opportunities to move into permanent hours as vacancies arise.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housing and welfare benefits systems.
• Experience providing housing or welfare-related advice and interventions.
• Experience assessing adults with housing or support needs.
• Experience developing and reviewing support or action plans.
• Understanding of homelessness, substance use, mental ill health or complex needs.
• Experience engaging with people experiencing multiple disadvantages.

Responsibilities

• Conduct housing needs assessments and identify interventions.
• Develop and review individual action plans for securing accommodation.
• Provide housing and welfare benefits advice and practical support.
• Assist clients in overcoming barriers to suitable accommodation.
• Coordinate with local authorities, landlords and housing providers.
