Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is recruiting three Housing Front Door Officers to be the first point of contact for residents accessing Housing Services in Braintree, Essex. You will provide advice, signposting and initial triage.

Duties include handling telephone and email enquiries, completing initial housing triage, escalating urgent cases, supporting homelessness prevention and Temporary Accommodation, and maintaining accurate records while liaising with partner services.

Qualifications

• Strong telephone handling and customer service skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle challenging conversations professionally and empathetically.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Accurate record-keeping and note-taking skills.
• Ability to assess information quickly and make sound initial judgements.
• Experience managing digital records, scanning and indexing documents.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Desirable experience in housing, homelessness, local authority or customer service environments.

Location: Braintree Essex| 6-month temporary contract | Full Time

Rate: £25-£28 per hour umbrella, depending on experience

Working: 4 days office-based, 1 day remote
