Job summary

Shelter is recruiting a Housing First Engagement Worker in Newcastle/South Tyneside. You will deliver intensive support to individuals with multiple disadvantage to move from homelessness to tenancy, liaising with partner organisations and agencies to aid progress while handling up to seven clients at once.

You will use trauma-informed, strengths-based approaches and create detailed, person-centred support plans with thorough case notes, while collaborating across teams and services.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people with multiple disadvantage in housing or related settings.
• Ability to write and implement person-centred support plans and detailed case-notes.
• Experience collaborating with partner organisations and services.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Housing First support to individuals aiming to sustain a tenancy.
• Build links with partner organisations and agencies for client progress.
• Support up to seven clients at any one time using trauma-informed practices.
