Job summary

Opus People Solutions on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council is seeking a Housing Finance Officer to join the Housing Services team. You will deliver financial and administrative support across housing accounts, ensuring accurate income and expenditure management.

This office-based role covers two sites (Kettering and Corby). It requires strong organisation, customer service, and experience in finance or housing. The contract is for 3 months with a potential extension.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Housing Finance inbox and respond to customer queries promptly.
• Provide financial and accounting support to the Housing Service.

• Set up and maintain direct debits and rent accounts.
• Take payments over the phone and support customer enquiries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure audit compliance.
• Support continuous improvement and efficient service delivery across the team.

Housing Finance Officer

Pay: £15.06 per hour, 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Location: Must be able to get to both offices Kettering NN16 8PP & Corby NN17 4SW office based only.

Length: 3 months with review for extension

The Role:

You will play a key role in delivering financial and administrative support across the Housing Service, ensuring accurate management of income and expenditure across housing accounts.

You will also provide high-quality customer service, helping resolve queries and supporting residents with financial matters relating to your housing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the Housing Finance inbox and responding to customer queries promptly
