Job summary

Triumph Consultants Ltd. seeks a Development Officer to support Greenwich Builds' council housing programme from inception to handover.

The position is office-based in Greenwich, SE18, for a 7-month contract helping drive housing projects and engage residents. You will coordinate with design teams, contractors and internal housing teams, procure consultants, monitor progress, and support handovers and Defects Liability Period management, building strong partnerships with council services and

Qualifications

• Engagement experience with residents, design teams, contractors and internal housing or tenancy teams.
• Knowledge of construction requirements in a local authority housing setting.
• Understanding of housing development funding and regulatory requirements.
• Site acquisition and scheme viability or site appraisal experience.
• Project monitoring, reporting, handover and Defects Liability Period management experience.
• Strong contractor and Employer's Agent liaison, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Devise, steer and deliver existing and new housing projects and programmes.
• Manage assigned projects for value for money and effective use of Council assets.
• Procure consultants, contractors or developers, and support design, planning and commercial negotiations.
• Support resident engagement, tenancy liaison, handovers and Defects Liability Period management.
• Build partnerships with Council services, residents, landowners, businesses, developers and community groups.
• Improve residents' access to services and support or deputise for Greenwich Builds colleagues.
