Job summary

Home Group Limited in Southampton is hiring a Night Worker for a permanent, part-time role (36 hpw) at our sites. Earn £13.45 per hour, with a Health Cash Plan and other benefits. This role covers night hours from 9pm to 6am and supports vulnerable customers in secure, welcoming buildings.

You’ll monitor CCTV, greet residents and visitors, coordinate repairs or cleaning, and respond to incidents with colleagues to maintain safety and community spirit.

Here at Home Group we look after vulnerable customers, but also those with quite complex care needs. Your job will be to make sure our customers are safe, our buildings are secure and pleasant places to be, and that we get on with our neighbours.

What you’ll do

• Walk around the building checking CCTV, fire doors and communal areas
• Greeting customers and visitors, picking up repairs or cleaning
• The first line of support for our customers when our wider team or their own support network aren’t around to help!
• Monitor and respond to incidents calmly, quickly and fairly
• Work with colleagues and partners to manage anti-social behaviour

The practical bits

• Travel between our sites during the working hours of 9pm to 6pm will be expected
• Permanent, Part time (36 hpw) working 4 nights on and 4 nights off
• Although you’ll work nights / lone work, we do get together regularly [in the daytime] for training and team meetings
• Able to use technology to monitor CCTV, update records and communicate with colleagues
• You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done (we pay for it)
