The Role
Housing Assistant (Allocations) – Permanent – Paisley
17.5 hours per week, Wednesday 1.30pm to 5pm, Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 5pm
Salary band HSB03
Salary: £32,488.00 - £36,878.00 per annum
About You

We are looking to recruit a Housing Assistant (Allocations) to join our busy team. As the first point of contact for customers you should be friendly, professional and be able to consider, evaluate and respond to customer needs and enquiries.
The role involves working closely with Housing Officers and providing administrative support.
The successful candidate will be educated to Standard or Higher grade or alternative, with experience in the use of digital systems and packages including Microsoft Office – specific competency in Word and Excel.
This is a fast-paced role, dealing with a range of duties and customers.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring effective letting activity for properties becoming void and minimising rent loss by allocation through our choice based letting system Find a Home as well as Edindex and other Common Housing Registers and all within specific performance management timescales.
The successful candidate must be organised, have attention to detail, able to prioritise work and follow Policy, procedures and good practice guidance, in partnership day-to-day working with the rest of the team.
An understanding of the role of housing associations in Scotland is required for this position.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to deliver excellent customer service, be committed to equal opportunities, and understand the requirements of Data Protection in a data management setting.
