Job summary

Harlow Council is recruiting a Technical Support Officer to join the Housing Property Service on an initial 12-month contract. Based in Harlow, Essex, you will provide technical and administrative support to the Housing Asset Management team, helping to ensure properties are maintained and managed effectively.

The role suits someone with experience in housing administration or asset management and offers office-based work pattern, 37.5 hours per week, and a 12-month assignment.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing administration, property services or asset management.
• Experience providing technical or administrative support in housing environments.
• Knowledge of housing asset management and property maintenance.
• Understanding of stock condition surveys, property data or energy performance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative support to the Housing Asset Management team.
• Deal with enquiries from tenants, leaseholders, internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate stock condition surveys and Energy Performance Surveys.
• Respond to enquiries by telephone, email and in writing with accurate information.
• Maintain accurate property, asset and housing records and databases.
• Prepare reports, correspondence and other documentation.
• Take minutes at meetings and maintain records of actions and decisions.
• Support Housing Analysts with data and administrative requirements.
• Assist with user training and access to relevant databases and systems.
• Support the department with wider Asset Management and housing compliance responsibilities.
• Liaise with contractors and other stakeholders as required.
• Ensure information is recorded accurately and in line with procedures.
