Job summary

Places for People Living Plus is seeking a community-focused role to engage residents, promote safe and secure independent living, and provide advice on rent and service charges. You will collaborate with the income recovery team to reduce rent arrears and assist with compliance, with local travel required to cover geographical areas.

The role emphasises wellbeing in Retirement/Extra Care living, strong communication skills, and the ability to work both in teams and independently while adhering

Qualifications

  • Experience/knowledge of housing management and wellbeing of Retirement/Extra Care living services.
  • Good computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with residents to promote safe, independent living.
  • Provide advice on rent and service charges; assist with benefits claims.
  • Support customers with their financial needs; coordinate with income recovery to reduce rent arrears.
  • Assist with compliance and safeguarding.
  • Travel within local geographical areas as required.

More about your role

You will take an active role to engage with residents to promote safe and secure independent living, ensuring an engaging vibrant environment to reduce isolation. Providing advice on rent and service charges, assisting with benefits claims and supporting customers with their financial needs. You will work with the internal Places for People income recovery team to reduce rent arrears. You will be assisting in compliance.

Travel within local geographical areas will be required.

More about you

It is essential that you have experience/knowledge of housing management andwellbeing of Retirement/Extra Care living services. You will possess good computer skills with knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Effective communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to build great relationships with customers, partners and colleagues is required. It is important that you have a good mix of ‘team player' attributes but also the ability to work effectively using your own initiative; as there will, be an element of lone working. You will also have an awareness of Health & Safety.

The ideal applicant will have experience of all aspects of housing management including manging anti-social behaviour and challenging situations.

A driving license and own car for business use is preferred for this role.
