Job summary

Middlesbrough Council is seeking a Housing Solutions Gateway Officer to coordinate referrals for supported accommodation and ensure fair, timely access to housing and support. You will work closely with referral organisations, accommodation providers and partner agencies to match people to suitable accommodation and support services.

Responsibilities

• Manage referrals into commissioned supported accommodation services with complete information.
• Be the first point of contact for vacancies, referrals, admissions and placement queries.
• Work with commissioned and non-commissioned providers, referral agencies and partners.
• Support agencies to improve the quality of referrals for needs, risks and support requirements.
• Monitor vacancies, capacity and move-on arrangements to maximise use of accommodation.
• Identify barriers to access and work with partners on practical, person-centred solutions.
• Record referrals, placements and decisions accurately using trauma-informed language.
• Gather information about referrals and occupancy to support service planning.
• Contribute to monitoring provider performance and service quality.
• Represent Housing Solutions at meetings and multi-agency discussions.
