Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group is seeking a Housekeeping Team Leader to join EKC Dover College in the Estates Department. You will lead a high-performing housekeeping team, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and hygiene across spaces used by students to succeed.

The role is permanent, 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 05:30–08:30, with benefits including holiday flexibility, personal leave, discounts and a competitive pension scheme. Our commitment to safeguarding and equality underpins all we do.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a housekeeping/cleaning team in a commercial setting.
• Level 2 English & Maths or willingness to work towards them.
• Health & safety certificate would be beneficial but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Perform cleaning tasks and operate industry machinery as required.
• Support Estates Department in daily operations and facilities management.

About The Role

Lead our Housekeeping Team and Ensure Quality in the Spaces where Students to Succeed

EKC Group are seeking a Housekeeping Team leader to join the Group. We are seeking someone to join our high performing housekeeping team within the busy Estates Department EKC Dover College.

The post holder will have a positive attitude, with the ability to motivate and lead a team of housekeepers while maintaining high levels of cleanliness & hygiene. You will also be able to perform the array of cleaning tasks including the use of machinery widely used in the industry.

Key Details

Salary: £12,004 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Hours per week: 15

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 05:30 to 08:30

About You

Successful candidates will preferably have previous experience of team leadership and cleaning in a commercial environment as well as the ability to learn quickly and maintain high standards of work.

You will also have a Level 2 qualification in English & Maths or be willing to work towards these (the College will support with such qualifications).

A health & safety certificate would be of benefit but not essential as training is provided.
