Job description

The Peninsula London is delighted to announce that we are seeking a Housekeeping Porter who will work within the team and report to the supervisor and coordinator. This role is responsible for contributing to the cleanliness of guest rooms, delivery of linen, and fulfilling any requests to ensure the comfort of our guests and residents. The Peninsula London offers a high level of service within a luxurious and elegant setting, which is enhanced by this position, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout.

Key Accountabilities

• Report directly to the Supervisor (Coordinator) and handle all guest and colleague requests, ensuring the cleanliness of all guest rooms, floors, pantries, toilets, and storage rooms when needed.
• Liaise with the minibar/amenity team to ensure rooms are serviced and replenished promptly before completion. Assist in delivering fresh linen to pantries when required. Support with the placement of extra beds and baby cots, adhering to standards and delivery sequence.
• Assist in removing baby cots, extra beds, etc., from departure rooms and storing them safely. Be trained in stripping checkout rooms during high occupancy for quick turnaround.

General Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a luxury hotel housekeeping department, ensuring guest room cleanliness.
• Passion for and appreciation of luxury hotel service and hygiene standards.
• Excellent time management, organization skills, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and flexibility to work night shifts as needed.
