Job description

The Peninsula London is delighted to announce that we are seeking a Housekeeping Porter to work within the team, reporting to the supervisor and coordinator. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest rooms, delivering linen, and fulfilling guest requests to ensure their comfort. The Peninsula London offers a luxurious setting with high standards of hygiene and cleanliness, enhanced by the contributions of this position.

Key Accountabilities

  • Report directly to the Supervisor (Coordinator) and handle guest and colleague requests, ensuring the cleanliness of all guest rooms, floors, pantries, toilets, and storage areas when needed.
  • Liaise with the minibar/amenity team to ensure rooms are serviced and replenished promptly, assist in delivering fresh linen, and help with the placement of extra beds and baby cots according to standards.
  • Assist in removing and storing baby cots, extra beds, etc., from departure rooms in a safe manner and be trained on stripping checkout rooms for early turnaround during high occupancy.

General Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in housekeeping within a luxury hotel.
  • Passion for quality service and hygiene standards.
  • Excellent time management, organization, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and flexible hours, including night shifts as required.
