Qualifications

• 1 year of housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred within a luxury hotel environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering exceptional standards.
• Understanding of cleaning procedures, hygiene standards, and room presentation.
• Knowledge of UK health & safety regulations, including COSHH.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Professional, courteous, and guest-focused attitude.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and service guest rooms to Fairmont’s exacting luxury standards.
• Ensure impeccable cleanliness and presentation of bedrooms, bathrooms, and amenities.
• Replenish linens, towels, and guest supplies with care and consistency.
• Report maintenance issues promptly, ensuring rooms remain in perfect condition.
• Handle guest belongings and privacy with the utmost respect and discretion.
• Support VIP room preparations, ensuring personalised touches and flawless presentation.
• Maintain housekeeping trolleys and storage areas in a clean, organised, and fully stocked state.
• Respond to guest requests with warmth, professionalism, and a guest‑first mindset.
• Collaborate with Floor Supervisors, Housekeeping, and Front Office to ensure timely room readiness.
• Follow all cleaning procedures, including deep‑cleaning schedules and brand standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including COSHH and manual handling.
• Participate in daily briefings and training sessions to stay aligned with service expectations.
• Support lost‑and‑found procedures with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team‑focused working environment.
• Uphold Fairmont grooming, communication, and service standards at all times.
