Job summary

Longbridge Deverill Nursing Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and support laundry services.

You will clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, follow infection control and health and safety procedures, and contribute to residents' comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. Some weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail in maintaining high hygiene and presentation standards.
• Reliable and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Clear communication with residents and colleagues is essential.
• Experience in care settings is welcomed but not required.
• Willingness to work alternate weekends as part of a 35-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high hygiene standard.
• Support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing.
• Follow infection control, health and safety procedures to keep the environment safe.
• Label and handle clothing and linens with care.
• Contribute to a comfortable and dignified living environment for residents.

Our purpose-built care home offers outstanding Residential, Dementia, Nursing, and Respite care for the elderly, accommodating up to 60 residents in a comfortable and supportive environment designed to enhance their quality of life., As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing. You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care. Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
