Fleet Care Home in Dartmouth, Devon, is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment and to support laundry services. The role is hands on, with high hygiene standards and a focus on resident comfort and daily wellbeing.
You will follow infection control procedures, work weekends, and contribute to a calm, well organised home that respects residents with dignity and care.
Our care home, nestled in the picturesque town of Dartmouth in Devon, provides exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 79 residents, offering a serene and supportive environment where quality care meets coastal charm.
As Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment while also supporting laundry services. This is a varied, hands on role where your attention to detail and high standards will directly impact comfort, dignity and daily wellbeing.
You will be responsible for cleaning residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas, ensuring all spaces are maintained to a high standard of hygiene and presentation. Alongside this, you will support laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and returning clothing correctly, ensuring all items are clearly labelled and handled with care.
Working closely with the wider team, you will follow infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures, ensuring all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently. Your role will contribute to a well organised and comfortable environment where individuals feel respected and supported.
The successful candidate will be requied to work weekends.
