Job summary

Elizabeth Finn Homes is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to deliver high-quality, personal care to residents at Rush Court Care Home, near Wallingford. You will work with clinical and senior teams to create a safe, engaging environment that promotes independence and dignity for residents.

The role involves supporting residents with daily activities, maintaining care plans, and upholding confidence, safety and confidentiality. Weekend shifts are required, with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education with good numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Level 2 in Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Experience caring for older people.
• Basic knowledge of Care Workers’ Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care in line with care plans and procedures, documenting accurately.
• Report any changes, concerns, incidents, or complaints promptly to senior staff.
• Support residents with social activities, routines, and meaningful engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, secure environment and ensure equipment is used/stored safely.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies; take responsibility for ongoing learning and development.

Rush Court is an elegant, Queen Anne style house standing in its own grounds amidst the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside just outside Wallingford.Its 47 en suite rooms provide both residential and nursing care on a long-term or short stay basis, as well as offering end of life care.
