Job summary

Champneys Forest Mere is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant on a zero-hour contract. You’ll service guest bedrooms and bathrooms to luxurious Champneys standards, ensuring cleanliness, calm and comfort for every guest.

The role includes preparing rooms, maintaining tidy corridors, stocking trolleys, reporting issues, and supporting duties across housekeeping and laundry. You’ll work discreetly in guest spaces, attend training, and uphold COSHH and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards.

Responsibilities

• Servicing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to exceptional Champneys standards, ensuring cleanliness, presentation and comfort.
• Preparing rooms so they feel calm, inviting and ready for guests to relax from the moment they arrive.
• Maintaining tidy corridors and working areas, ensuring guest privacy and discretion at all times.
• Keeping housekeeping trolleys and stock rooms well organised and fully stocked.
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage or stock shortages promptly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Working respectfully and quietly within guest accommodation, recognising that guests are here to rest and unwind.
• Responding politely and professionally to guest requests in line with company procedures.
• Supporting wider housekeeping and laundry duties when required.
• Attending team meetings and training, with a willingness to continually improve standards and skills.
• Following all health, safety and fire procedures at all times.
• Using cleaning products and equipment responsibly and in line with COSHH guidance.
• Maintaining high standards of personal presentation, punctuality and conduct.
• Working with discretion and confidentiality in all guest areas.
