Job summary

Avery Healthcare is hiring a Housekeeping Assistant for Aire View Care Home in Leeds. You will join a team ensuring high standards of cleanliness and laundry, following our SOPs and maintaining hotel-style service across the home.

The role emphasises patient dignity, safety, and flexible coverage of duties as part of a caring, supportive environment. DBS check will be required and cost borne by Avery Healthcare.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of health and safety, moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrates compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping for residents.
• Able to be adaptive and flexible to cover multiple responsibilities on short notice.

About the Role

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained.

Other responsibilitieswill include:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance with worksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
