Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for a Newcross Care Home in Wolverhampton. You will contribute to cleaning and laundry, following SOPs to maintain high hotel service standards within a caring, supportive team.

Your role focuses on delivering compassionate housekeeping to residents, maintaining dignity and respect, and adapting to a range of duties as required by the home.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.
• Able to be adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and ensure areas are well presented and maintained.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and their personal space is respected.

About the Role

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained. Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
