Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Housekeeping Assistant for Miramar Care Home in Herne Bay. You will work as part of a team to maintain cleanliness and laundry standards, following SOPs to ensure hotel-service levels within the home.

You will join a caring, supportive team and contribute to a respectful, attentive environment for residents, with responsibilities including flexible coverage and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping/laundry for residents.
• Ability to adapt and cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understand cleaning requirements of different surfaces and materials to keep areas well presented.
• Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect, preserving their personal space and belongings.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus asHousekeepingAssistant will be to work as part of a team, ensuring that all standards of cleanliness and laundry aremaintainedin the home. You willoperateaccording to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, ensuring that hotel service standards aremaintained. Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Carrying out all cleaning dutiesin accordance withworksheetinstructions.
• Understandingthe cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials, ensuring that all areas are well presented and maintained in good condition.
• Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
