Job Title: Housekeeping Assistant

Hours: 20 hours per week, worked over 4 days on a 7-day rota

Salary: £12,698.67 – £12,887.47 per annum for 20 hours a week (£12.21 - £12.39 per hour), depending on experience, plus 30% weekend enhancement

About the Role

Are you a motivated individual with high housekeeping standards? Join our friendly Housekeeping Team at St Catherine’s Hospice. You will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our patients and their loved ones.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning patient rooms and supporting with laundry services
• Routine cleaning of public areas and offices
• Deep cleaning and handling emergencies such as spills

Candidate Requirements

• Experience in housekeeping, cleaning, hospitality, or healthcare (preferred but not essential)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, flexible, positive attitude
• Dependable and motivated, enjoy working in a caring environment

Working Hours and Benefits

Work 20 hours over 4 days, with shifts either 7.30am-1pm or 1pm-6.30pm, including weekends and bank holidays with enhanced pay. Benefits include holiday entitlement, pension schemes, wellbeing programs, and more.
