Job summary

Luso Court Care Centre in Clapham, London, part of Willinbrook Healthcare, the specialist complex care division of Care Concern Group, is recruiting a Housekeeping Assistant on a full-time contract. The role offers £12.71 per hour and includes pension, paid DBS and uniform.

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions, supporting comfort, dignity and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, cleaning or laundry is desirable but not required.
• Good understanding of hygiene and cleaning standards.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and positive approach to supporting a busy care home.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks across residents' rooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
• Assist with laundry services, handling clothing and bedding safely and promptly.
• Follow infection prevention and health and safety procedures as part of the team.

Luso Court Care Centre is a newly commissioned specialist care home in Clapham, London supporting adults with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. The home offers 80 en suite bedrooms across two floors and provides complex nursing care, specialist dementia care and residential mental health support within a safe and clinically led environment.

Housekeeping Assistant Contract

• £12.71 per hour
• Full Time contract
• Pension, Paid DBS, Uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract

The Role

As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents living with complex nursing needs, dementia and mental health conditions. Your work will play an important role in supporting residents’ comfort, dignity and overall wellbeing.

You will carry out daily cleaning tasks across residents’ rooms, communal areas and facilities, ensuring all areas meet high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will also support laundry services, ensuring clothing and bedding are handled safely, labelled correctly and returned promptly.

Working as part of the wider housekeeping team, you will follow infection prevention and health and safety procedures while helping to maintain a tidy and well organised environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will help create a pleasant and supportive home for residents and staff.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning or laundry roles is desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of hygiene and cleaning standards
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
