Job summary

Lovett Care Limited seeks a Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant for Wilmslow Manor Care Centre in Wilmslow. The role ensures high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the Home, under a Bank contract with an hourly rate of £12.71.

Shift times are 08:00–14:00, supporting daily housekeeping and laundry tasks. The post involves following Head Housekeeper guidance, meeting Lovett Care standards, and promoting residents' welfare while maintaining a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with non-domestic cleaning or care setting is beneficial.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good communication with team members.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules and sign paperwork.
• Follow guidance from Head Housekeeper.
• Contribute to Lovett Care standards for housekeeping.
• Undertake general cleaning duties and other tasks as delegated.
• Carry out laundry duties when required.
• Maintain a safe working environment and awareness of equipment risks.

Our stunning care home Wilmslow Manor Care Centre is a purpose-built care facility situated in the popular town of Wilmslow, Cheshire, 11 miles south of Manchester city centre. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents who have a variety of care needs including residential, nursing and dementia residential. The home reflects the Lovett Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort and care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion; they have a full induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers. Across Lovett Care all of our staff are paid the national minimum wage or above.

We are seeking to appoint a kind, motivated and organised Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team. To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Home is maintained to the highest level and within the Lovett Care specification. We have a BANK contract available with an hourly rate of £12.71! Shift times are 0800-1400

Role Responsibilities:

• Complete all daily and weekly cleaning schedules, and sign necessary paperwork.
• Follow all guidance from Head Housekeeper.
• To contribute to the achievement of the Home’s standards for Housekeeping.
• To undertake general cleaning tasks and follow and carry out any other cleaning duties as delegated by the Head Housekeeper.
• Carry our laundry duties whenrequired.
• Ensure the working environment is free from hazards and be aware of the risks when using the equipment.
• Take responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holderis responsible fororcomes into contact with.

Skills and experience required:

• Previousnon-domestic cleaning and experience of working in a care setting would be beneficial.
• Ability tooperatecleaning equipment in the Home.
• Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and write basic comments.
• Communicate effectively with other team members.
• Display reliability and trustworthiness.
