Job summary

Lovett Care Limited is seeking a kind, motivated Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant at Grappenhall Manor Care Home in Warrington. The role involves providing high standards of cleaning and hygiene with a 30-hour contract at £12.71 per hour, with shifts 08:00-14:00 and alternate weekend work.

The successful candidate will complete cleaning schedules, follow Head Housekeeper guidance, perform laundry duties, and maintain a safe, hazard-free environment while promoting resident welfare.

Qualifications

• Experience in non-domestic cleaning is beneficial.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and write basic comments.
• Communicate effectively with the team.
• Reliable and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules and sign paperwork.
• Follow guidance from Head Housekeeper.
• Contribute to the Home’s housekeeping standards.
• Undertake general cleaning tasks and other duties as delegated by Head Housekeeper.
• Carry out laundry duties when required.
• Keep the working environment free from hazards and use equipment safely.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults in contact with you.

Grappenhall Manor Care Home is a purpose-built care home facility and is situated in Warrington, Cheshire. The home provides the highest standards of safety, comfort and care to 70 residents who have a variety of care needs. We offer residential, nursing and dementia care. We invest in the latest technology, and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand selected for their warmth and passion, they have a full induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers. Across Lovett Care all of our staff are paid the national minimum wage or above.

We are seeking to appoint a kind, motivated and organised Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team. To provide a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Home is maintained to the highest level and within the Lovett Care specification. We have a 30 hour contract available with an hourly rate of £12.71! Shift times are 0800-1400, with alternate weekend working.

Role Responsibilities:

• Complete all daily and weekly cleaning schedules, and sign necessary paperwork.
• Follow all guidance from Head Housekeeper.
• To contribute to the achievement of the Home’s standards for Housekeeping.
• To undertake general cleaning tasks and follow and carry out any other cleaning duties as delegated by the Head Housekeeper.
• Carry our laundry duties when required.
• Ensure the working environment is free from hazards and be aware of the risks when using the equipment.
• Take responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.

Skills and experience required:

• Previous non-domestic cleaning and experience of working in a care setting would be beneficial.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment in the Home.
• Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and write basic comments.
• Communicate effectively with other team members.
• Display reliability and trustworthiness.
