Job summary

Care Dorset Limited is seeking a part-time cleaner to maintain a clean, welcoming environment for people we support, staff and visitors. You will follow infection control policies, handle general cleaning tasks in rooms and communal areas, and keep records of cleaning activities.

The role is 18 hours per week, 8:00 to 14:00 with alternate weekend work. Pay grade 4, £13.27-£13.50 per hour, with generous benefits and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Infection control and hygiene policies followed
• Basic record keeping for cleaning charts
• Good interpersonal skills to support people we assist and visitors

Responsibilities

• Ensure a clean, welcoming environment for people we support, staff and visitors, maintaining Care Dorset's reputation
• Provide a safe environment and follow infection control policies
• Identify and accommodate the needs and preferences of the people we support to offer personalised service
• Undertake general cleaning tasks in rooms and communal areas (beds, vacuuming, dusting, floors, dishes, toilets, waste)
• Maintain equipment in good working order and complete routine maintenance checks on cleaning gear
• Keep basic cleaning records up to date for audits and families' reassurance

Key responsibilities

Ensuring that a clean and welcoming environment is provided for the people we support, staff and visitors, maintaining Care Dorset's reputation.

Providing a safe environment, ensuring infection control and hygiene policies andprocedures are followed.

Getting to know the people we support's requirements and preferences and providing a personalisedservice

Undertaking a variety of general cleaning tasks which may be in clients’ rooms and / orcommunal areas, including but not limited to: bed making, vacuuming, dusting, floorwashing, dishwashing, toilet cleaning, emptying bins and recycling.

Cleaning to the expected standards, in line with Care Dorset's policies and procedures, including the infection control policy Maintaining up to date knowledge about efficient and safe use of cleaning equipment andappropriate and safe use of chemical cleaning products and COSHH regulations.

Keeping all cleaning equipment in good working order and carrying out routinemaintenance tasks on cleaning equipment. Keeping basic records up to date, including cleaning charts in rooms, providing evidence ofcleaning for the benefit of clients’ families and for audit and inspection purposes.

The position is part time , 18hrs per week , 8am - 2pm with alternate weekend working
