Job summary

Nuffield Health is seeking an enthusiastic Housekeeper to join our hospital housekeeping team on a bank/ad hoc basis in Shrewsbury. You will help keep patient areas clean, safe and welcoming, using up-to-date equipment and following established cleaning procedures.

As part of a supportive team, you will ensure that cleaning never interferes with patient care. The role offers flexible hours, a chance to contribute to high standards of hygiene, and access to our wellness benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role preferred.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Well organized and able to follow cleaning processes.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare a range of areas to create a clean, safe and pleasant environment for patients.
• Assist with waste removal, linen collection and deep cleaning tasks.
• Work closely with Infection Prevention and maintain a tidy, safe hospital environment.

We are looking for a Housekeeper who will help us to create a clean, safe and pleasant environment for patients by cleaning and preparing a range of areas, utilising the latest equipment, products and supported by a first-class training programme. You will take pride in your work and undertake a variety of general responsibilities ranging from room cleaning, waste removal, linen collection and deep cleaning.As a Housekeeper, you will:Care about our patients so that you can organise your work and plan your time with assistance from our Heads of Housekeeping to make sure cleaning never gets in the way of a patients’ experience.Be friendly, with good communication and customer service skills.
