Job summary

Crazy Bear Stadhampton is seeking a reliable Housekeeper to prepare bedrooms and care for the hotel’s public spaces. You’ll ensure rooms are clean, stocked and ready before guests arrive, with attention to detail and deadlines in a hands-on role.

You'll work independently or as part of a team, manage your time to complete rooms on schedule, and follow health and safety standards including COSHH. Weekend and bank holiday availability is appreciated.

Responsibilities

Housekeeper – Crazy Bear Stadhampton

Beds made properly. Bathrooms spotless. Not a rogue hair in sight.

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-focused Housekeeper to prepare our bedrooms and look after the hotel’s public areas.

You’ll make sure every room is clean, stocked and ready before the guest arrives. It’s physical, hands-on work with clear standards and deadlines—because check-in time has a habit of arriving whether the rooms are ready or not.

What you’ll be doing

• Cleaning and preparing guest bedrooms
• Making beds and replacing used linen
• Cleaning bathrooms, surfaces, floors and furniture
• Restocking toiletries, refreshments and other bedroom supplies
• Maintaining public and communal areas across the hotel
• Collecting, sorting and washing linen where required
• Keeping housekeeping cupboards and work areas organised
• Reporting damage, faults and maintenance issues
• Handling lost property correctly
• Following health and safety, manual-handling and COSHH requirements
• Helping the wider housekeeping team complete rooms on time

Who we’re looking for

Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is useful, but we’ll also consider someone reliable with the right attitude and attention to detail.

You’ll be:

• Comfortable with the physical demands of the role

Where you’ll be working

Crazy Bear Stadhampton is Country.

Set in the Oxfordshire countryside, it’s our original home with signature bedrooms, a 16th-century pub, an al fresco terrace and spaces for weddings and events.

The pace is more relaxed than Town, but there’s still plenty going on: proper pints and good wine in the pub, drinks by the fire pit and events that can take over the whole place.
