Job summary

Cygnet Pindar House in South Yorkshire is seeking a confident Housekeeping colleague to help provide a safe, healthy environment for residents. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working on-site at our 22-bed neuropsychiatric facility.

You will carry out daily and weekly cleaning, replenish stock, and ensure equipment is clean and well maintained while following health and safety procedures and COSHH guidelines. DBS check will be required.

Qualifications

• Experienced in housekeeping or domestic work (desirable).
• Knowledgeable of COSHH (desirable).
• Friendly and positive attitude.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service
• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
• Replenish stock and ensure equipment is clean and well maintained
• Follow health and safety procedures including COSHH rules

You will be working 40 Hours a week (Monday to Friday) at Cygnet Pindar House helping provide a safe and healthy environment for the people in our care. Cygnet Pindar House is our 22 bed Neuropsychiatric care and treatment service for men affected by acquired brain injuries. It is a safe and secure place to aid recovery as well as offering those diagnosed with a progressive neurological disease like Huntingtons Disease, a caring and longer term placement to support and help manage the progression of their symptoms. The service is a modern purpose-built facility, designed specifically to provide a clinically-led evidence-based neuropsychiatric pathway for individuals presenting with behaviours that challenge. Our focus is to create a therapeutic rich environment to engage the men in our care and offer them the opportunity to maximise their independence.

Day-to-Day

• Provide a cleaning and general housekeeping service
• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes
• Replenish stock & ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained
• Employ safe working practices and adhere to health & safety procedures
• Comply with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations

Requirements

• Experienced in housekeeping or domestic work (desirable)
• Knowledgeable of COSHH (desirable)
• Friendly, conscientious & have a positive attitude
• A good communicator
