Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited is seeking a Housekeeper at our luxury care and nursing home in Reigate. You will ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in residents' homes and communal spaces, with duties extending to laundry and safety checks.

Internally, the role is called Hospitality Assistant, and you may work across Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Wellbeing & Lifestyle. Full-time day shifts and additional benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 1 would be an advantage
• Experience in a similar role would be an advantage
• High personal standards of cleanliness and hygiene; effective written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy and presentable environment in residents' homes and communal spaces.
• Assist with laundry and ensure linen is clean and hygienic.
• Work with housekeeping and maintenance teams to reduce fire and accident risks.

What you will do

As our Housekeeper, you’ll be the sort of person who doesn’t go out without leaving a tidy bed. You’ll apply your high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness to our resident’s homes and communal living spaces, to ensure they’re spotlessly clean and beautifully presented.

You’ll also be working in laundry ensuring that the linen is kept clean for residents’ comfort and hygiene. You’ll also have your eye out for potential fire and accident risks, working with the housekeeping and maintenance team to reduce any risks to resident’s safety.

Our residents will notice and appreciate attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness builds confidence in our service delivery.

Internally, this role is called Hospitality Assistant, if you are successful this will be your job title. You will be required to work across a range of departments including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Wellbeing & Lifestyle. Responsibilities will vary on each shift depending on which department you are supporting.
